To the woman in the red car at South and Robie who took advantage of the red light and me pushing a stroller to offer me the diapers she was getting rid of. It was a welcome gift… our diaper days are on the wane in this household but it sure was nice to not have to pay for the last few! —Mama of Gooses

? wow, she sounds a little mental…. getting out of a car at a red to offer a stranger diapers on the street?!?!?!
you sure they weren’t adult diapers she’s required to wear in the loony bin she seemingly escaped from?
What … there’s nothing wrong with that … she was gonna throw them away any way, why not give them to someone with a small child.
My thoughts exactly, Donk!
I don’t think it’s the diaper lady that’s seemingly a little “mental” these days.
PS: stop using that term. It’s offensive to people with mental disabilities and illnesses and those who love them. kthx.
relax… don’t go mental…
I watch quite a bit of uk shows… it’s ingrained in my vernacular.
I’m assuming you’re boycotting the ‘mental’ist then…
and the show ‘mental’ ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mental_%28TV_… )
and Serious Sam video games….
wow, you’re really busy fighting for the cause.
Oh mai gawd do you watch The Real Hustle? What about 8 Out of 10 Cats? Or NMTB? Inbetweeners? Top Gear? huh? huh? Huh?
top gear vroom vroom. can we still say tard pk?
I don’t boycott anything, I just remember how upset a now deceased friend got over me using that word once in a negative way when we were kids because of her now deceased sister who was severely mentally and physically disabled and I learned my lesson. I also had a childhood friend who’s mom had cerebral palsy and my best friend’s brother has cerebral palsy and I know both friends would be very hurt if they heard that used.
Probably why I don’t ever use the word “retarded,” either. Just two words I’ve never felt the need to use with a negative connotation. So sue me for having respect for people I care about.
Now leotarded… I’m on board with that.
It’s not the words themselves, that’s just semantics, it’s when these words are used in a derogatory way.
ooh how could i have forgotten leotarded/kaytarded so soon^^
Right on, PK. I’m with you 100%.
grrrrrrr.
Thanks, bird! <3
PS: suck it, zed.
well I guess I won’t be going into politics… with my very un-PC linguistic skills.
such a shame, I know.
I’d fit right in on a Quenton Tarantino set though.
