While sitting in a north end hotspot getting my hair done, I was shocked to hear the head stylist LOUDLY gossiping to another customer about their client or friend’s dating misfortunes. It was so inappropriate and made me feel so uncomfortable I may never return. What does he say about me when I’m not around?
If your business is making people feel good about themselves and you’re in the public eye, perhaps you should consider who may be present when you’re divulging other people’s personal lives. —Snip it in the Bud

Just don’t tell him about your dating misfortunes ;D
I hate gossipers. They are just flawed individuals.

Down where I live, that’s why people get their hair cut. To catch up on the latest skanky news.
Does the salon have a client and stylist confidentiality clause? – thought not.
Soooo what were some of the details you “accidentally” overheard?

Sometimes clients are friends of their hairdressers outside of work – sometimes they are mutual friends of colleagues. I know that my hairdresser is my close friend and we share some of the same dating troubles; I wouldn’t mind her talking about me at all, but maybe that’s just me.
Perhaps it is a little out of line for a professional, specifically if they are working with a client they don’t know particularly well. I’m just pretty liberal on the issue.
I find it difficult to believe you don’t gossip about friends to other friends who may or may not be mutual acquaintances.
Just so you know – this stylist who may or may not have been on a show as a self esteem consultant talks about everybody in a negative way. He insults everybody behind their back. I know this first hand. Many of his clients have left for the same reason. Also, his work isnt all that good. Just because Sid the Kid and his mom go there doesnt mean he is talented.
This is not a typical gossip case.
bet you’ll get free hair care for awhile <- not likely. He will tell that person off and ban them. He does believe in 'the customer is always right'.
OP, make up some elaborate story and feed their gossip train. And don’t tip them!
he’s a vp now
