As a Monarchist I’m pissed off that W & K didn’t come to NS, but spent time in Quebec instead. We could’ve spruced the downtown shithole up, filled in a few pot holes, booted the scummy panhandlers off SGR and assembled a great riot squad to beat the shit out of the anarchist filth. We squandered a great opportunity for Darrell to stammer and splutter a welcome, and had Kelly restrained on a very short leash so as not to fuck anything else up. NS has far more claim on the Royals than Quebec, pity old General Wolfe got shot and there was a truce that has allowed Quebec to mooch off the ROC ever since. —OC

  1. You’re a monarchist? I wouldn’t have expected someone in their 90s to be submitting bitches. Good for you granny! Nap time though. Off you go.

  2. you funny sis, i’m no lover of the royals but i do agree with your points

  3. If the city didn’t clean this place up for the Queen why would they for Will and Kate.

  4. Snubiz – you’ve given me both the wrong age and gender, which confirms my suspicion that you’re a wet behind the ears whelp.

    Read this article, or perhaps ask a grown up to read it to you;

    http://oncampus.macleans.ca/education/2011…

keep working at your minimum wage job and paying taxes so I can continue to enjoy my early retirement.

  5. Let’s see now. They can’t go everywhere and there was a visit by a Royal not long ago. Fuck, you make it sound like they’ll never be back. Next time they will visit other provinces and the time after that and the time after that. They will get here, they are young and have lots of time.

  6. They’re not coming here because of the whole Cornwallis name-change controversy. Too much tension in the air over that. They decided to go to Quebec instead where the protest signs aren’t nearly as intimidating or threatening written in french.

“Go away or I shall taunt you a second time”
    “Pitchez le vache!”

  7. I’m older than you, I make more than you and I’d rather my taxes did pay for your early retirement than contribute in any way to extremely rich people having fabulous hols.

Respect and wealth should be earned.

Do you live with your mommy by any chance, Porkie?

  8. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!

  9. Ha ha ha…

    Youse guys are silly.

Meanwhile, I must admit, I am FULLY on the will & kate fan-wagon. 😀 I think they’re wonderful. And I adore the queen. I don’t blame them for not visiting NS, for the reasons listed, but if I coulda, I woulda gone to see them.

  10. The English monarchy is an anachronism. It has been able to perpetuate itself well into the twenty-first century only because they’ve managed to keep the fruitcakes and loons in the “inbred” line of succession from ascending the throne.

The jury is still out on whether Charles will become king before mama dies, but I can’t imagine him ascending the throne of England with Camilla at his side while at the same time the tabloids and internet are abuzz with old audio of him expressing his fond desire to be one of Camilla’s tampons all this while he was married to Diana.

  11. Serioulsy fuck the royals and their visits, I’m sure the vast majority of Nova Scotians don’t give 4 5ths of a shit. Why should we split the bill with the UK for their visit? These assholes have never worked a day in their life and have more wealth than any of us can imagine. I see no good reason to support their vacation. When I want to take a trip I pay for it out of my own pocket.

Sidenote did anyone see the South Park episode?! Almost spit my drink out when they mention “the little mushroom people of Nova Scotia”

Again in conclusion, fuck the royals and anyone who thinks we should give a shit about them.

  12. i thought they were coming on the last leg of their trip. poetic really,n.s., asshole of the country, where everything goes to in the end. sort of like the digestive tract of a hiuman. good stuff starts in the head(ontario), goes thru the gut(prairies, and comes out the asshole(n.s.),yep, just like that.

  13. tj, I gues you’ve never seen a schedule for the Royals. They go from morning to night and believe it or not they work. Not many people young or old could keep the pace. For people in their 80s and 90s, Elizabeth and Phillip don’t do too bad. Most of the males are in the military (as the queen herself was in WWII), they run charities, etc. The Queen is briefed daily about the going ons in the world and gives advice. You would be hard pressed to find someone who knows more. And you do realize that Hitler called the Queen Mother “The most dangerous woman in the world”, not to mention she was able to tell pretty blue stories to the troops. I believe William served and conducted missions in Iraq until it came out he was there, then he was transferred out for security reasons.

  14. The simple point is this: they’re visiting REGIONS and can’t possibly visit every single place in canada. I think it’s nice they’re NOT coming to Halifax, but visiting other parts of the Maritimes for a change. PEI always gets the short end of the stick and it’s a delightful little place.

On the quebec thing: quebec is a region, just like PEI represents the atlantic/maritime region. Quebec would’ve cried and bitched if they had’ve been missed — we all know that, considering (and as much as I do love quebec I have to say) quebec is great at bitching their faces off.

  15. Bro Tim: It was Harry in Afghanistan, and he was some pissed off about it. A paper in the US broke the media blackout on him.

Queen Elizabeth is a trained mechanic. It was her part for the war effort. :]

  16. Swamp, you be correct, wrong brother, wrong war. And let’s not forget Prince Andrew who flew many missions during the Falkland’s War in 1982.

  17. Not to mention that William, when he’s not on vacation or plonking his deee-lightful new bride, flies S.A.R. in the Westland built version of – you guessed it – The Sea King.

  18. Tommyjules – Premier Ghiz was saying that the tourism spin-off from this event alone would generate $6 Million.
International media outlets, another plug on Regis and what’s her name – on second thoughts I’m glad they didn’t come here to showcase this shitheap.

  19. I also think of all the pride of the folks who are involved in this, like the people at the culinary institute, or the children up north performing for them, it’s really a learning experience and means a lot to those who get to participate. Crowds are huge and people are going in droves to see them.

And then you consider the $1.2mill expense that Heritage Canada is fronting for it, is it really that much more than stupid HRM spent on in kind services for some lame ass concert promoter putting on shitty concerts? It’s not that much money, people! Put it into perspective…

  20. Cool PG. I was born and raised a Red-foot. It will always be home to me. Amazing place to grow up and fantastic spot to retire, just, not much in between, hence why I’m here in Happyfax. I am on vacation next week and will be heading over at some point for a visit. Gotta have my PEI summer fix.

  21. i have vivid memories of racing for the ferry, hoping the rcmp didn’t nail us for speeding. nothing finer than being the last car that gets squeezed on. we had samoyed dogs when we lived there, they were always pink^^

  22. lol…yup…I have many a fond memory of racing to catch the boat, both going to and coming from NB. lol It’s amazing there were not more accidents back then. And then the annual phenomenom of the mass exodus of Islanders heading to Moncton to go Christmas shopping. I swear I think the population of PEI shrunk by about 1/3 every year between Oct and Dec.
Wow! You WERE brave PG..Samoyed huskies in PEI…lol There is no such thing as a white dog on the Island.
Do you mind if I ask where you lived? I was born in O’Leary but grew up in Stratford.

  23. we lived in ch’town but spent a lot of time in summerside sailing and we babysat a farm in hunter river

  24. AHEM: This BITCH may have been signed “OC” but I did not write it as can be attested by our latest mod-unit if he/she cares to comment. “OC” in this case could be anything or anyone but it certainly is not moi in this capacity. You are right sis, I am not a royalist, nor am I an anti-royalist. It just does not matter to me whether the royal couple visit our lovely province or not. That being said, I did go see Wills’ gramma last year but more out of curiosity for the face that graces our money than any real sense of imperialism.

  25. This post is preposterous. And a “great riot squad” seems contradictory. Riot squads wouldn’t be necessary if people were heard and listened to, and they’re expensive. As if paying ridiculously high taxes isn’t bad enough, but to have it put toward repressing public opinion -NO MATTER WHAT IT IS- just SUCKS. However, I bet they didnt come here because they just left foggy london, why would they want to come to the 2nd city of fog? Besides there’s so much crime, especially compared to Montreal, now that’s a city feels safe to walk around in.
& where exactly would they have put the panhandlers they would give the boot to? In jail to get them out of the way of the precious royals?
Also, who are you to say we have “more claim on the Royals?” over another province? hahhaha I think its the other way around, & that the Royals have claim on where ever they so please, .. still….for some reason………. anyway not going to get into that.
This is the strangest bitch I have ever read, your reasoning is so random and scattered.
The sad thing is, probably if they did come here HRM would have wasted a lot of money doing things such as those you suggested.
