I’m very tired of the “Dirty, old, perverted, creepy men” bitches that are continously posted. Not all men are staring at you, not all men are disgusting perverts who want to sit next to you and try to get in your pants. I think you girls need to get over yourself. Yes you will run into those situations, but get over it! If you think they are actually going too far, let them know your boundaries!

I cant wait to be one. That shit is going to rock!
Oh hey Kay.
Snot running down his nose..da da dadadadaaaa!
What is it Dino? I work with our elder population all the time. I’m kind to them, pleasantly avoid the drunk ones, generally smile a lot around them and I usually learn something if I engage them in conversation… so what’s your problem? This bitch was directed at you, not me. I’ve bitched about unusual aggression but should clarify I notice this in younger men so let’s hear it, Dino.
Since they think I’m one (just cause I’s old n fat) I’s gonna become one. Here kitty kitty (or is that pussy, pussy).LOL
Have to agree with Kay, here. Get over it, plllleeeeaassseee!!
See….. there are alot of old creepy people out there.
Ever take the 51 burnside in the morning? that exsplains it all
It’s obvious that Kay is the one who wrote this bitch.
Greasy fingers smearing shabby clothes.
Thank you Smee, now I have that song stuck in my head.
It’s obvious I DIDN’T write this bitch, Scooby. Where’s your logic coming from?
I agree with the OP. Not all old men are creepy perverts. A lot of them are lonely and just want someone to talk to. Put yourself in their shoes for a minute. You’re old, a widower, you live alone, either you have no children or they never call/come to see you. The world you knew is long gone. All you see around you is strangers rushing to get somewhere. So while you’re on the bus/at the bus stop, you think “It’d be nice to talk to someone today. I haven’t talked to anyone in a week”. So who do you approach? The middle-aged construction worker that looks like he might bash your skull in with his hammer? No. Or maybe the business woman in a power suit babbling away on her Crackberry? No. How about the young thug wearing Ecko head to toe with his jeans around his ass? No. Oh, there’s a pleasant looking girl/woman sitting by herself on the bench. She seems nice. Maybe I’ll chat with her. Then when you do try to start a conversation with her, you’re told “Fuck off you old perv!” and get dirty looks from everyone. How would that make you feel? I don’t take public transit much anymore, but when I did, I had little old ladies striking up conversations with me all the time. And I would happily converse with them, because I knew they just wanted someone to talk to. So before you go assuming that every old(er) man is trying to get into your panties, take the time to realize that maybe he just wants someone to talk to for 5 min on the bus. You may be the only person he talks to all week.
Never Wrong, you’re living up to your handle today. Great post! Have a great day!
perhaps they should be in a home if they’re so lonely.
plenty of people to talk to every day.
zZz: Do you realize how costly it is to live in a home? Or how long the waiting lists are? My grandmother has been slipping further and further into dimentia over the last 6-8 years and we just got her into a home in October. It’s not like you call up some 1-800 number and say “I want to live in a home now” and they get you right in. People are assessed on their needs and capabilities. If they’re capable of living on their own and remaining self sufficient, their chances of getting into a home are greatly decreased. And seriously, you expect someone to go live in a home, give up their independance and freedom, just to have someone to talk to? That’s pretty sad and down right dispicable.
ok, how about visiting the people in the home?
is that so unruly and unthoughtful?
Is is such a horrible crime for someone to want to talk to another person that you feel the need to herd all the seniors/old folks in to one locale? Most of the people who live in homes do not have all of their faculties anymore, therefore diminishing their ability to converse. A lot of older people who still live on their own are capable of holding a conversation and would appreciate the chance to have one with someone who doesn’t forget what you said two minutes ago. I don’t see why you people feel the need to vilify and segregate older people from society. I guess it just reminds you of your own mortality, which you’d rather not think of. Trust me people, you’re ALL going to die someday and hopefully those of you who feel the need to seperate yourselves from the elderly now will recieve the same treatment when you get old.
NeverWrong, I mostly agree with you. I get older men and ladies talking to me all the time on public transit or in stores or elevators or whatever. It’s probably my fault because I usually say Hi to them and that get’s them going.
Anyway, I think homes are the last place you want to send your loved ones when they get older. Usually though, if an older person is living independently they manage to make a social life for themselves by getting involved in bingo and church groups and whatnot. I don’t think they strike up conversation so much because they are lonely, but rather that they are friendly. They are used to a time when people talked to strangers…something we are tending to move farther away from.
true dat. I’m not saying “herd them here and never talk to anyone else outside the boundaries…” in fact, the point I brought it up was because I used to be those people that didn’t want to take to anyone and was bothered by it all the damn time. I’ve actually started to try being a little more personable lately… I just know the flip side much much more.
Miles: I think it’s a combination of both friendly and lonely. And like you said, they come from a time when strangers said hello to one another and men tipped their hats to the ladies as they passed. As for homes, that is the last place we wanted to put my grandmother, but she couldn’t be left alone and she knew/knows it. She only has her very short term memory left now and isn’t capable of taking care of herself.
zZz: I’ve always been very much a people person. Despite the fact that I can’t stand 99% of the general population. I used to go visit shut-ins with my dad when I was younger and I learned that old folks have got some pretty damned cool stories to tell sometimes. Especially those of them that were in the war(s). Give them a chance. Sure some of them are down right weird, but most of them are very sweet people with some interesting stories. Just don’t let them cook for you.
or clean. step-grandpa did the dishes for 2 years before we found out he only rinsed the plates with hot water so you couldn’t see any food on em and then put em away. no wonder my immune system is weapons-grade.
Maybe it’s really their own faults for insisting for our entire childhoods that we, their grandkids, don’t talk to strangers.
No doubt. So now society is reaping what it sowed with the paranoia of “don’t talk to strangers”.
It’s not bad advice, but apparently there is a drawback.
Never Wrong… I hope I can fit into your 1% cause I think you’re pretty awesome!
I talk to all older people all the time because I agree they just want someone to talk to..and I always smile at everyone, which makes them realize that I’ll listen (for hours). And I totally agree with don’t ever take food from them (my grandma never turned the dishwasher on – she would just rinse them put them in dirty and take them out dirty..lol) And you never knew just how old leftovers, and candies were.
But why did this creepy guy talk turn into old people talk…older people aren’t creepy..crazy a little..but not creepy.
Who knows why a bitch changes course…just one of those things in life you just have to roll with.
I’m not even going to bother with this one.
Actually, I changed my mind.
I personally think old people are the cutest things next to hufflepuffs. Sometimes I can understand them better than my own peers. But when people often say ”creepy, old, men”, they are referring to more of a late middle aged demographic, who display INAPPROPRIATE or otherwise uncalled for behaviour that just isn’t necessary. When is that a problem? I take zero issue with older people, and nobody should, unless they act belligerent. Since when is violation of personal space NOT a crime?
its not.
just tell the violator that whatever they’re inquiring about is “none of their business!”
I tend to agree with never wrong on this one. I have had my fair share of actual creepy encounters…far to many…but for the most part, people just want someone to talk to and as never wrong said, they have a lot of really cool stories to offer.
Agreed fallingangels. Old people have the best stories.
Where’s my logic coming from, Kay? It’a coming from the reply you wrote to Dino’s bitch about her creepy boss:
‘How does this bitch read “my boss was hitting on me”? It doesn’t. He supposedly “objectified” her by eluding young ladies should have lots of suitors/boyfriends/options/whatever. Dino… “objectified”?’
To me, this bitch matched the sentiment of your comment from the other bitch, so I assumed it was you writing this one.
And Kay, most people recognize the difference between a guy asking a question like that in a leering, pervy-sounding tone and a harmless, friendly, collegue only trying to give you a boost or compliment. It depends on how the way it’s said. There is a very big difference. Judging by her usual replies on this site, which seem to be quite sane, I’m sure Dino probably recognized the difference too before writing in.
funny you mention. I was actually told off by a girl once for staring at her ass. Only thing she was wearing such a short dress that whenever she walked, you could see the bottom of her butt cheeks. That pink thing was something else. She asked “what are you staring at” I replied “your ass”. Of course security had to jump in since the guy with her thought he was the big man on campus! This was DT Halifax :).. You’ll always find skanks there. Never fails:)
