So, I’m driving along the highway, minding my own business and watching my speed to ensure that I stay under 110 so that I won’t receive a huge speeding ticket I can’t afford to pay or lose points on my licence, when of course, as usual, a motorcycle flies past me, weaving in and out of traffic, going at least 200 km/hr. No doubt about it.
Where are the cops for these guys? Why are motorcycles continually doing this without punishment? I do not feel safe on the road, cops. Don’t bother saying, “Oh, they’re too fast! The cops can’t catch them!” Not good enough. I demand more legislation! Why should these fucking road demons be permitted to endanger everyone on the road? FUCK OFF! —Fearing for My Life

– these types of riders are few a far between. They usually get what’s coming to them. as a motorcyclist I have no respect for idiots that ride like this.
– fearing for your life? chances are they would be on the losing end of the stick if they collided with your car.
– cop can’t be everywhere at once.
I hate traffic bitches. Especially ones that apply characteristics of a small number of individuals within a group (i.e. motorcyclists) to all members of that group.
Zigactly. Like cyclists and car drivers the overwhelming majority are safe, courteous and responsible. Darwin award candidates on motorbikes can only dodge the laws of probabilty for so long before removing themselves from the gene pool.
A couple of years ago, two fellas were racing their bikes along the Gardiner Expressway, here in Toronto. They were doing a healthy 200km+ clip when one hit the wall at the side of the road and vapourized. That’s the simplest way to describe what happened to him. The other rider stopped his bike, dismounted, then walked home. The police tracked him down through his bike’s plates.
Yup, it’s pretty scary when these turds weave through traffic.
How about you take your 110km out of the fast lane and leave it for vehicles that are actively passing. So many idiots like you white knuckling it in the fast lane and wondering why people are undertaking you.
GET OUT OF THE FAST LANE!
Don’t be afraid of bikes either, they can’t hurt you in a car. Just drive responsibly, don’t worry about others.
ARGH – pretend I posted here instead of “Motorcycle Noise”.
I am an aspiring motorcyclist…(got my license but no bike as of yet) but I take exception to you painting ALL motorcyclists with the same brush. Not fair and totally unwarranted. I think the vast majority of motorcyclists around HRM are of a responsible nature and do not drive like the idiot in your post allegedly did. I have talked to quite a few vetern/seasoned riders who swear by the National Safety Council’s Motorcycle Safety course, of which I’m proud to say, I completed. The fact of the matter is there are just as many, if not, MORE idiot car/truck drivers on the road then there are motorcycles, so, again, your generalized, blanket post that all motorcyclists are road demons or that there should be more legislation for motorcyclists than automobiles, is completely unfounded. In a lot of cases, people in cars are far to engrossed in something else or distracted and do not give their driving their undivided attention. They are not concentrating and have little to no situational awareness because they are all comfy cozy in their enclosed steel cage with seat belts and airbags and crumple zones. What is taught on the safety course is that you can’t afford NOT to give your undivided attention to your driving when you are on a motorcycle. You are far more vulnerable and exposed, not to mention, smaller and unprotected compared to a car. You ALWAYS have to be on the defensive when you ride your bike and the rule of thumb is “ride like you are invisible”, meaning like no one can see you. Remain predictable, increase your visibility, and never put yourself into a position where you don’t have an ‘out’ should something go wrong. You always have to be extra vigilant and constantly concentrating/thinking, putting yourself 2-3 steps ahead of other drivers. You have to plan ahead and anticipate what other drivers are going to do, (or not do) and be prepared to react in a split second. If anything, I would go so far as to say that a properly trained/experienced motorcyclist is a much better driver than your average person in a car. Like everything else, though, there ARE exceptions and you seemed to have had a very negative encounter with such an exception. But like veloce stated earlier, “these types of riders are few and far between. They usually get what’s coming to them.” Don’t label us all the same based on your experience with a few idiots.
Eff off OP. As a biker with decades of riding experience under her belt I take exception to your blanket statements about motorcycle riders. Sure, there are lots of idiots on the road, not all of them on motorcycles. There are plenty of bad drivers behind the wheel of all kinds of vehicles. Can’t handle dealing with asshole drivers? Maybe you shouldn’t be driving.
“… going at least 200 km/hr. No doubt about it. ” I doubt it …
This is quite common on the Circ and 102 highway. You can always call it in, but unless there’s an officer nearby, the biker will not get caught. Just pray the rider loses control and thus reduces the biker population by one more.
“I doubt it …”
Can’t locate the specific incident at this mo’, but speeds up to & over 200km happen regularly around here. Population/dipshit ratio. My work can be involved with the results of these incidents. Regardless of whether it’s bikes or cars, they make a big mess.

“if not for you” i fail to see where the bitcher stated they were driving in the fast lane. On the contrary, it appears as though they were in the slow lane.
Also, I fail to see the “blanket generalization” you are all speaking of. The bitcher said, “i hate motorcycles,” not “i hate people who drive motorcycles.” it’s completely valid to hate all motorcycles and does not imply a similar hatred toward those who drive them. It was pretty obvious to me that “these fucking road demons” was in reference to those idiots who regularly fly down the highway in the 200 km per hour range (yes, this happens all the time whether you doubt it or not), not all motorcyclists in general.
So…please tell me what you are all getting so upset about?
blah blah whatever
” Why are motorcycles continually doing this without punishment.”
Sure as shit sounds like a blanket statement to me.
Oh okay, you’re referring to the robot motorcycles that drive themselves

Hugo:
Aside from the lane splitting (because that is legal in certain U.S. states and most countries in Europe) I definately don’t condone or defend the driving of the motorcyclist in your video clip, because it is definately insane, reckless, idiotic and illegal. I have no time for riders like this because : a. the obvious, it’s dangerous. You want to risk your life, that’s fine but when you start risking mine and everyone else’s lives because of your stunting, that’s another matter entirely; and, b. It gives the rest of the good, law abiding riders out there a bad name and then someone like this OP comes along and paints them all with the same brush. I have absolutely no sympathy for riders like this if they crash and get hurt or killed. You deserve everything you get if you decide to ride like this.
My point is, I also don’t have sympathy for DRIVERS who choose to do the same thing. There are idiot drivers and riders out there but it’s not fair to single out just the motorcyclists. That’s all I’m …ahem….’driving’ at.

it would be hard to nail a bike any way, they go places where cop cars can’t. and even if they got license plate number, it could be a hot bike.
bikes are easier to steal than cars, and a lot of keys fit many models of bikes. that is the downside. i know a guy had his bike ripped off a few years back, when it was found, it had a honda key in it, and the bike was a suzuki.
that’s some crazy shite clint, i looked at some of the other videos too. scary driving
here’s something even better, robots on bikes, from thx1138 movie, which was way fucking cool, the cars were better though.

Fuck you OP, you hate motorcycles stay off the fucking roads. We pay the taxes registration and insurance like any cager does, so we are entitled to ride. Painting all with the same brush is just fucking stupid. Will he get caught, yup one day either by the cops or the laws of physics. Did you get caught every time you did something stupid in a car? I doubt it. Either way non of your fucking business, you probably didn’t even know he was coming until he passed you. Not many cagers in this province knows what mirrors are for let alone turn signals, shoulder checks….”blind what?” ” Blind spot? No no i see just fine”. Let me know where you bought that nifty radar gun you used to clock him at 200km/h
great movie sucksters. i think there is a plague that has destroyed some people’s ability to swivel their heads. tho i have seen some roidboys that have no necks
avast, drive like they’re actively trying to kill you. You’ll live longer.
For every moron on a sport bike driving like their bike has an afterburner, there’s probably 100 morons in cars who don’t deserve licenses, and are the reason for most accidents involving motorcycles. That’s the reality. Most motorcycle drivers are better drivers than car drivers I’d wager, because we have to be – our lives depend on it – I’m a better driver even when I’m in my car for that very same reason.
i agree pj. all the motorcyclists i know are excellent car drivers and cyclists too. its because you need to be hyper vigilant
I agree with Avast0.
I have had my lisence since 2008.
I must admit, once I got my lisence, I realized what motorcyclists go through.
I have been driving since I was 17. I’m 34 now. I think I’ve only seen one motorcyclist speading like a demon on the highway here in nova scotia. So whatever statement OP is trying to make isn’t really true.
The rule of thumb is ride like your invisible, not because you are, because drivers refuse to see you. Why I’ll be more than happy to give you an example.
On Mumford road, summer of 2008 I’m going about 40km/hr up to a red light. I’m NOT in the blindspot of this car, in fact I made EYE CONTACT with the driver, since my bike was right at the same level as her car’s hood. She decided to casually turn her wheel into my lane and almost drive me off the road, if it wasn’t for the left turning lane. That’s what she was trying to do.
Notice that we made eye contact and she still attempted to drive me off the road.
This is of many incidents by the way.
As for the statement that motorcyclists are endangering your life! Um as far as I know a car is bigger and causes more damage so to me, I think you’ll win the battle.
Motorcyclists value their bikes so they take extra care. Yes you’ll find the odd idiot here and there, but honestly I think some drivers just hate motorcyclists regardless!!
I think it’s more of the freedom jealousy to be honest.
Another thing, our bikes fit in places your cars don’t so please stop hating! It’s not our fault we decided to save some gas, money, insurance, space and be less polluting!!
That youtube vid posted on here, that’s absolutely not the norm. I would never ever do that as I value my life. I also speak for a lot of bikers. As I mentioned, I think I only witness one rider do something like that!
Swampdonkey, OMG you’re sooooo right 🙂
Fuck did I ever have an incident tonight. Who fucking opens their door in the middle of the road in partially moving traffic!! If you’re lane is stopped, doesn’t mean the other lanes on the road are!!!! What constituted the middle of the road is now a drop off location?!
