I am always grateful to be able to grab a copy of the Coast or visit on line. Like a comfortable old friend and a good cup of coffee, the Coast is always there; covering both mainstream and alternative news and happenings; bitches + loves, blogs rants news opinions, etc
Can anyone tell me if thereÂ’s a forum/message board/blog whatever for threads somewhere midway on the spectrum between loves and bitches ? Sometimes I just want to comment on, or query, some local event / situation / whatever; I donÂ’t want to bitch about it or praise it, just open the topic for comment or discussion; like whatÂ’s the clear cutting for thatÂ’s going on on both sides the BiHi between Kearney Lake Road and Hammonds Plains Road? or a good book I just finished?
Is there a forum in the Coast (or somewhere else) for that; or is there enough interest to create one? Thanks.

I posted this over at Love the Way We Love and then thought, hey, I’ll let the bitchers weigh in too. You could have your say here, or over there or, well, I guess those are the only two places you can have your say because the midway on the spectrum place doesn’t exist.
For the record, I think it’s a good idea, but jeesh, it’s hard enough keeping track of two places…

I would suggest submitting those kinds of comments to LTWWL. If the idea has support, it will catch on. I don’t think it’s a good idea to taint LTWWB with a lot of “anyone want to discuss the new harry potter book” types of threads. Perhaps though, if the Recent Comments section showed comments from both the Bitch and the Love sides, it would alert the Bitchers to some interesting threads on the Love side. Not many people comment over there as it is, so I think it’s the better place for posts like the OP’s
I never look at LTWWL.
It would be nice to see the recent comments from both, which may encourage us to go peeking around over there.
I look at LTWWL for a little pick-me-up sometimes. Although, occasionally it has the opposite effect, when it seems all of them are some sappy paean in the vein of “my bestey westey snoogie-pie you make my heart esplode” or something.
I like the idea, and I’d support it I just don’t see how it’s beneficial for the Coast. There is a good sense of community at LTWWB, and there’s always something to talk about; the bitches. With a forum it may turn into a black hole of non-specifics and a lot more ‘filler’ if you know what I mean.
Though the site does feel rather dis-jointed with the ‘Bitches’ being separate from the ‘Loves’ and the ‘Pssts’ being seperate from the ‘Free Loves’ (Whatever that is…)
I think the discussion gets pretty good on the message boards in the news pages, but that’s not really suggesting topics.
Somehow, “Love the way we’re neutral” doesn’t really sound appealing. Please keep discussions not related to anger or love for your personal blog….
if you want the readership of the coast, then post said blog/link in the psst section, I suppose… unless Tim has anything to add.
