Regarding the headlined story in todays Chronically Horrid “One persons trash is anothers fine” WHAT THE FUCK IS THE MATTER WITH THE DICKHEADS THAT WORK FOR HRM!! Jesus, here we have a guy taking a bit of pride in his home and surroundings, and getting kicked in the nuts for it. This story makes me both sick and FUCKING FURIOUS at the stupid ass beureauococks that cant see the bigger picture and simply want to quote municpal bylaws. If there was more people like this guy in the world, it would be a lot cleaner and a lot more pleasant to be in, instead of the festering squalid cesspool it is now. Shame on HRM for being such fucking bassackwards knobrots. If the city is so good at enforcing laws, why the FUCK is there so many bitches about the shit all over the commons? Maybe we should all withhold our property taxes until this city pulls it’s head out of it’s ass and starts addrressing the real issues like all the fucking potholes on the roads, or shit pumping stations that literally aren’t pumping shit. FUCK OFF HRM, YOU SUCK!! Leave people like this guy alone and address REAL ISSUES!!!

Holy fuck, that was a seething brain barf if I ever saw one. I feel your pain but for christs sake take a breather before you burst your jugular.
This sort of thing is what happens when you have a council that passes bylaw after bylaw. When you have bylaws for every occasion you need a platoon of bylaw police to enforce them. Bylaw enforcement types remind me of the kids who always told the teacher that she forgot to assign homework when they were in school. Not smart or fit enough to be cops, they become a low-grade version of the same within their own little black-and-white world.
Cut about half of them loose, repeal about half the useless bylaws, and tell the ones who are left to use some common sense.
Me, Myself, and I, the problem is that you don’t know the priority of the city. The priority of promoter Pete is to get the next big concert. Nothing else matters, well except for studies of studies.
How about a little explanation of the story before ranting? I have no idea what you’re talking about. Thanks a bunch.
The OP says right in the first sentence where you can find the story.
Unbelievably bad behavior… shame on the HRM. The OP said it just right.
I’d like to know why the moderator closed the comment on that story. It was only posted today? How much do we like censorship?
It’s not censorship.
Sometimes the by-law boys and girls work in our favour. We had a family living around the corner who ALWAYS had several vehicles in sad state of disrepair parked in their driveway, complete with oil stains ,rust and general crap. One call and they were ticketed, wrecks removed and place looks a lot better.
Holy shitfuck Senile. I’m glad my Mom doesn’t read this because she would cry. She lives in a rural area next to a residential property that has about 70 rusting vehicles piling up outside. The bylaw people don’t give a fuck.
While it’s cool that the guy made an effort to clean up a mess that wasn’t even of his making, the original story also said that collection day was TWO WEEKS away… he knew this, living next door to the empty lot… so why would you put out trash or recycling 2 weeks before it’s due to be collected?!
Things used to be far simpler before by-laws and the need for them, people applied common sense, a commodity in short supply these days.
Perhaps this guy should’ve loaded the bags of garbage into his car/truck and dumped them on the steps of City Hall – Mayor Kelly could’ve hired 15 consultants to pick an action plan to resolve the issue, that would’ve gone way over budget and wouldn’t work when it pissed down.
