Halifax theatre maven, Mary Vingoe, receives Order of Canada

Actor, playwright, director, bazillion threat Mary Vingoe deservedly received the Order of Canada on Friday. Governor General David Johnston presented Vingoe with Canada’s highest honour, in medal-form.

Vingoe co-founded Parrsboro’s Ship’s Company Theatre and Dartmouth’s Eastern Front Theatre as well as Nightwood Theatre in Toronto.
