Actor, playwright, director, bazillion threat Mary Vingoe deservedly received the Order of Canada on Friday. Governor General David Johnston presented Vingoe with Canada’s highest honour, in medal-form. Vingoe co-founded Parrsboro’s Ship’s Company Theatre and Dartmouth’s Eastern Front Theatre as well as Nightwood Theatre in Toronto.
