Thank you to the jerks who stole my 8 year-old daughter’s coat from the movie theatre on Saturday night. It taught her a great lesson to look after her things better. Now now, don’t be so cynical. I know people here oft times like to find the loopholes in people’s bitches, but there’s nothing here saying she WASN’T with her daughter now, is there? Hm. Could be possible that maybe she took her daughter to the bathroom and, like most people, left their jackets on the chairs. Or maybe her daughter was out with another family whom she happens to be friends of the child with, or something along those lines. I highly doubt this woman is implying that someone jumped her daughter, ripped her jacket off her, and took off at the theatre… lol. If so, I can imagine the tone of this bitch would be a bit different.

I’m the Mama in this post. I just wanted to say that I was NOT with my daughter when this happened. She was with her friend’s family – so no need to assume that I’m a bad parent for not looking after my child’s belongings better – or to assume that I let my child wander the theatre by herself. If I did, then I would have no reason to bitch besides myself for being negligent.

Anyway: anyone who would steal a jacket from anyone, let alone a CHILD is a pretty shitty person. Unfortunately, ST, your daughter learned a valuable lesson we all do have to learn, however it’s something that basically has to be replaced and the lesson might not really translate in the long run. If it was something like an ipod and you refused to replace it? Well then the lesson really would’ve been learned.
But I’ll bet she’ll keep a closer eye on her stuff from now on!!!
