Can we export the separatist movement to Toronto? They already think and act like they are their own world so would it be so much different? I would vote YES for Toronto to separate. Seeya! Take Harper & Ford and annex yourselves as Torontoda/Toron-S-A… or something. Then the rest of us would be free to live in Canada. Remember her? Seems like a long time since I’ve seen her. —Toronto, Please Separate from Canada

  1. lol and take the biggest business hub we have away? lol wtf was this bitcher smoking? Hate on Toronto all you want, but acknowledge that it is one of the 3 (maybe 4 if you count Calgary) world class cities we have in this country and losing them would be a huge blow to our economy. Not to mention I, for one, have a ton of family up there as I’m sure people everywhere else in Canada do. Stupid bitch IMO.

  2. Get. Over. It.
Just an election. Blaming this on a city, and generalizing about a bunch of people like that is an asshole game.

I concur, Dr Tommy. Stupid bitch.

  3. Growing up in Toronto there are infinitely more opportunities for young people than there are here. Hell, old people too for that matter. In Toronto, going to high school is like going to college. It’s a big decision, there are all kinds to choose from that cater to different interests that students may have. My Uncle was the Dean at Bishops for years and told me that a kid from NS needs at least an 80% avg to be considered and Ontario kids need just a 70% avg. Sounds like we’ve got some catching up to do and could learn a thing or two from Toronto. If you can’t beat em, join em or stfu.

  4. I’m still waiting for the Newfoundland Separation Federation to take hold. Where’s Jerry Boyle when you need him?

  5. If you actually looked at the voting maps, it clearly shows that “Toronto” voted mostly NDP, while the rest of “Ontario” voted Conservative.

  6. Did I mention I like Toronto?

The diversity, shopping, hustle and bustle, the subway (which kicks the bus’s ass any day — one end of the city to another in under 20 minutes? yes plz), the lights at night… I frigging love that place.

I’m going for a week and a half in June and I can’t frigging wait.

The only thing that REALLY sucks about TO is Pearson. I fly porter just to avoid that POS airport.

  7. Toronto IS Canada… If you take away Toronto, Canada would fold… Toronto is the hub of Canada. This poster is a retard…

  8. ..and TO finally elected a righty mayor..the lefties are having a fucking kinipshit 🙂

  9. It would be nice to get the reverse perspective; see if you can find a Torontonian and ask his opinion of HRM. Once they, like any normal person asks what is a HRM, and you explain the result may not be so pretty.
Oh that dirty little backwater, with a useless transit system, a filthy rundown core, highest murder rate in the maritimes, a bloated council and a mayor embroiled in a concerts for cash scandal, a phobia about tall buildings, juggaloo haters, SGR bums, arsehole cyclists – the list goes on…..

  10. …and the most perspicacious and diverse bunch of social critics anywhere, who can actually manage to drag themselves away from their keyboards from time to time in order to eat pancakes and interract with living breathing human beings. A veritable Algonquin Round Table of wit & repartee. Bitchbuds Rawk!

  11. I have been to Toronto once. I will say that some of the people I’ve met from Toronto aren’t the nicest (note I said some, not all), but other than that I have nothing horrible to say about the city. Although I wish the leafs did better haha.

  12. Shusssh! Toronto is fun :)! Just because some people from Toronto have an arrogant attitude toward anywhere that isn’t Toronto, doesn’t mean that they should just be another country! There are also arrogant people from here that think anywhere else other than the east coast is shit, should we have to form a separate country too? How about we just stick to being separate provinces an call it a day?

  13. it depends where you live in toronto often: i’ve lived : the danforth(very friendly),scarberia(not friendly at all) the annex(quite friendly) and rexdale (indifferent really meh)…

  14. Toronto’s good for one thing……stopovers between flights. That’s about it. Woohoo Whistler 🙂

  15. But then some other city will have to step in it’s place..then you’ll want them to separate till we have nothing left but Whitehorse or something. Too much generalizing going on.
