To the #7 Gottingen bus(ses) that completely missed its route twice today (and in fine weather and road conditions nonetheless), and left two elderly people and myself waiting for over an hour for you to come, shame on you. I don’t understand how you can royally mess up that bad, to come a few minutes late is fine, I’m used to that since you never run exactly on time but to not come at all is horrific service. Maybe you don’t understand that people need to get to places on time and follow a schedule, much like you were supposed to do yourself, and have no other way to travel and depend on you. What sickened me the most wasn’t my wait, but the wait of the two elderly beside me, it wasn’t easy on them. Whether it’s a problem with the road, the weather or your own laziness, you better shape up and learn to fix these inconsistencies. It’s your job, for crying out loud

  1. So the #7 didn’t show up this morning, or was it on Sunday (runs every 40 mins on Sundays). Either way, two things I’ll comment on based on what I’m getting out of this bitch:

    – Every once in a while, drivers do make wrong turns. Drivers are human, it happens, and usually they try to get back where they won’t miss stops.

    – There could have been a reroute in effect due to an accident, parked cars + snowbanks situation (HATE!), something not in your line of sight.

I don’t like the thought of elderly people standing outside for an hour either for the record, but I figured I might shed some light on this one as to possible reasons.

  2. 3 more possibilities- bus drivers do what they want, horny spouse could be traveling on the bus, or bus driver could be glued to the cell phone. Once I was 2 hours late for work because the bus never showed up. Another time the #52 took over a hour to get from Clayton Park to Mumford because the horny spouse was hugging the driver as well sitting on his lap. Numerous times I have been on the bus when the cell phone rings and the driver pulls over to chat. People on welfare can do a better job at driving the bus.

  3. So M, they were hiring back in October. Did you put in your application? I hope so. It seems by your generalizations of the 400+ drivers based on the actions of a few that you’d love to do the job.

  4. plastic diver guy, you are funny ! so true, everybody thinks they can be the best driver and it’s so easy, how many of them to you actually see apply ? zero haha

  5. Plastic Diver Guy, I already have a job and it is unionized just like the bus drivers are and if I was caught doing the things that SOME of them do, I would lose my job. If the bus driver cant go to work without bringing his spouse with him then there is something wrong with their relationship. You are probably to immature to understand that bus drivers should be professional.

  6. there seems to be a huge amount of bitches on here for metro transit hug. there are several solutions…the more costly both environmentally/financially is to get a car. others would be to get a bike, carpool, hitch-hike, move closer to work, or get a job closer to home.

but for god sake stop bitching about metro transit. i know they arent perfect. but who the fuck can say they are perfect at their jobs? seeing all these metro bitches(which i usually dont read) is becoming monotonous. i reccomend any further metro bithes be redflagged as such…”boring rehashed overbitched content”

  7. or just a “boring bus bitch” tag, john.

As much as MT frustrates me at times, it seems to get me from point A to point B most of the time, and pretty cheaply at that so…aside from that one bus accident last year, I have no major complaints.

All y’all who bitch about stupid petty shit regarding metro transit should go live in a rural area where the bus service is either shittier than shit, expensive as fuck, or non existent. Spending my teen years in Bumfuck, NS has given me an appreciation of sorts for metro transit. There *are* better transit systems out there (Toronto and Montreal subways blow my mind to shit, srsly <3 and Ottawa has a superb bus system), but metro transit is pretty reliable when it comes down to it (and pretty cheap! 3-5 bucks to ride the bus in Ottawa! 125 bucks for a full service pass! HELLO $70 metro link pass).

I guess my only complaints about MT are the people who ride the bus and seem to think they have some sort of god given right to get up in everyone else’s business, and then come bitch on here because so and so was eating on the bus and boohoo I want to eat on the bus but it’s against the rules or the “their shit was taking up a whole extra seat” bitches (ffs ask them to move their stuff already! or move it yourself!).

    UGH.
