I work with seniors. One lady is wonderful. She has been living in the same housing authority apartment for 35 years. Last year she had bedbugs as the building was infested. Pest control were called and took care of it. She lost most of her furniture. She has been waiting for them to come in to paint her apartment for the last year. The walls have not been painted for 35 years, so you can imagine what they look like. She’s been waiting on having the painting done before she gets furniture. So for the last year, she’s been on an air mattress. Repeated requests have gone in over the past year, nothing. I’ve contacted the counsellor for the area. Hopefully that will get her place painted. I’d paint it myself, but I don’t have the money to buy the materials, and I can’t be around the fumes. —Is it that hard to paint?

Good luck, OP. The housing in my area hasn’t replaced the 20 year old, torn, stained and moldy carpets either. But, for the most part, the properties look good on the outside. I mean, we can’t have visitors to the city thinking we’re dirty, can we?
Call the newspaper or TV station, maybe some bad publicity will get someone off their ass.
when it comes to seniors, n.s fucking sucks big donkey nuts. they work these people half to death for taxes when young, and after they reach a certain age, then it’s fuck you old people.
a good friend just went into a nursing home this week, and by the lord dying fuck, he will be taken care, if it takes our last cent. asian people revere their elders, and make them comfortable to the end of their days, even to keeping them in their homes, with them. this fucking country could learn a few things from them.
Holt shite! Stop the Presses! I think I might agree with LS. Especially the line about working for taxes when you’re young. Or could it be that the Suckster is getting a little long in the tooth himself and is afraid he may be put on an ice floe and pushed out to sea. lol
Maybe they are busy painting other units and they just havent gotten to hers yet or they could be short workers.
I find it laughable that a certain “square” in the city had summer works students paint their units! I think the city should drop off the paint and have the escalade driving low-lifes paint their own hell hole. ~ geezuz
The shitty way we treat our elderly is about as shameful as how we treat our veterans. Once the country has gotten all it can, we treat them like unwanted guests… place them on fixed incomes then raise prices on everything & tax them a little more, suck every nickle you can from them…kick them out of their houses when they can no longer afford the tax bill (that is increasing every year) so it can secretly finance whatever the crooks in office want to squander it on this time !
You think it would be a crime…but no, its rewarded with solid gold pension plans !
