It is super annoying to try to walk/run/jog/exist on the sidewalk when people hog it while walking rambunctious or poorly trained dogs!!! I am sorry, I love dogs, but really…why can’t you either hold them back or make room when others are coming towards you? Some people are naturally timid around unfamiliar dogs (I tend to be nervous around extremely large dogs). SO….when you see that a person is tensing up or trying to non-chalantly move to the far right of the sidewalk, get your dog out of there!!!! Why should we have to jump to the dirt, or worse, traffic because you can’t hang onto the dog properly? And to the lady walking the two dogs on Robie, this is directed to you. You realize if your dog actually jumps on someone and heaven forbid, bite…you are liable…???

  1. I also hate dog walkers who unleash their dogs in the paths in Forest Hills-Cole Harbour. We have a beagle and were walking her (leashed as the bylaw states!) when we came across a german shepard roaming by itself. Upon spotting our dog, the shepard ran to her and started aggressively smelling her ass, a few seconds later along comes the owner and calls the shepard back, but the dog ignores her and starts grunting and growling at our beagle. Finally, the owner grabs her dog, and passively states, “I guess your dog doesn’t want to play”. There’s a fucking reason we have this bylaw and not all people nor dogs are comfortable in the presence of certain breeds. But, who’s going to enforce it? no one!
