The dining room was about 1/3 full and we requested a booth. We explained to the girl at the podium it was our anniversary and she suggested we take the “romantic corner” which made us feel special on our evening out. For you to drag 3 employees over to our table and point at us while telling them “See this… 2 people in a booth for 6. That’s not how we seat people here. Use some common sense!” You did not say one word to us, just pointed in our face as we were eating. It could have easily ruined our evening. Thankfully we got to speak to the manager who comped our meal, and explained that you were trying to get a job as an assistant manager and it seems to be going to your head. I explained that if I find out you are promoted I will tell everyone I know what horrible service you give and not to eat there again. He made it clear that you won’t be getting the job. —The couple in the corner

Restaurant’s loss = Access(Har-har) Nova Scotia’s gain.
hmmmm, this almost souds like the bitch a few days ago, or just the person at the restaurant. these managers are fucked. my best answer would be to stay home in future o.p., and save yourself the grief of these fucking nazi asshole managers.
Congrats OP for speaking to the manager. If it’s a chain restaurant, send along a letter informing them of your experience. Also post your “review” of the retsaurant in the Food section on TheCoast. Fucking service (slave) staff don’t know shit and still expect tips.
The “romantic corner” is a booth for SIX?
The “romantic corner” wasn’t the Elvis booth, was it?
I’ve been in ‘cozy corners’ with my lady. They’re kind of half to 3/4 circles and all cushiony and comfy. Because they seat six, they get ‘cozy’ when there’s just the two of you in them, surrounded by the empty space.
Good job, OB, you got to see the ‘karma’ come around right away, most people aren’t that lucky and the karma is wasted anonymously.
Legit Bitch, I’d be pissed.
have you ever notice that these restaurants seem to only promote the assholes, never a good employee..it’s called control…
nice work OP…you have to complain in that situation… should’ve walked the manager over to the bitch, pointed right in her face and said “it was her, she was the rude bitch that nearly ruined my evening.”…. right on….
Manager may have just been saying what you wanted to hear. Having said that, I woulda been pissed too and I hope that the rest of your evening went well.
