Attention food lovers, cooks, chefs and bakers of all sorts! This Friday, February 4, the Food Network/Global TV show Recipe To Riches arrives in town. The idea is to give people a chance to offer their extraordinary recipes up for consideration of judges, kind of a foodie version of Canadian Idol crossed with the Antiques Roadshow. You could win $250,000 and your recipe could be made into a product to go on Atlantic Superstore shelves. Here are the seven categories: Appetizers, Sweet and Savoury Snacks (including squares, bars, cookies, tarts, clusters, brittle and crisps, Cakes (including cheesecakes, Sweet Pies (including cobblers, crisps and crumbles), Savoury Pies (including shepherd’s pie, meat pies, pizza), Entrees (freezable) and Frozen Treats (including ice cream, sorbet, gelato). If you’ve got an amazing recipe in one of these categories and want to participate, register for Friday’s auditions at the Delta Halifax at foodnetwork.ca/casting.
