I have been driving a taxi here for a few months now. What gives? It’s hard to take in $12 per hour then take out gas and office rent. They’re making more then me sitting here 12 to 14 hours a day. I thought people in Nova Scotia get minimum wage. Can someone tell me, has this been this way for long? I know many here look at drivers as lowlifes. I just need a job to feed my kids. Now I don’t even get to see them. A WORD TO ANYONE THINKING ABOUT THIS JOB: DON’T, YOU’LL BE THE ONE HUNGRY —Wasting my time

  1. If you are sitting and waiting in your cab in Timberlea, you’re going to make $12/hour. Other than that, get to where the fares are and hustle. Hover around the grocery stores, indentured cabbies (i.e. the old farts) don’t like doing them … too much work if they have to actually assist a little old lady and her kitty litter.

Bitch by a taxi driver; that’s a first.

  2. Really? You mean driving a taxi doesn’t pay like being the CEO of NSP? Who knew?

  3. I guess you forgot to go to Klyde’s school of taxi driving to learn all the tricks, hotspots, etc. One only learns all these items after driving one since ’76.
