What’s with the hiring practices at a local candy shop? They hire 3 or 4 people, pick one to keep and fire the rest after just 3 or 4 shifts. Is this legal? Moral? Or just poor business practice? And further evidence of their lack of class, they fire these “extra” employees over the phone!! Just because they are dealing with teens they treat them without common courtesy and respect. Shame on you, I won’t set foot in your overpriced store again!

Lemme guess, OP used to work at said candy store and got fired due to not performing up to standard or messing up while on probation. Am I right?
I would not like to work in candy store, I was just diagnosed with a cavity.
An employer can release an employee withing three months of employment with no reason needed. I would say it is a good business and moral practice to ensure the employer they have the right person for the job.
