This is a general response for your recent article about the skinny dippers. People need to keep in mind that all the trails leading to this sacred skinny dipping spot are used by, built by and maintained by Mountain Bikers. By all means, share the trails. Its already being used by hikers, berry pickers, dog walkers and trail runners. Oh and its also become quite the Grinder hook up spot. The entrance of the trail system is now surrounded by lurking men in cars, in the woods with cell phone in hand waiting to hook up. Its utterly disgusting.
The main concern here, is that someone is going to get seriously injured, its only a matter of time. So keep an eye out for one another on the trails. The last thing that trail system needed was that article. There’s already been a few close calls. —Disgusted Mountain Biker

I do a lot of trail biking and the biggest fear I have is an idiot hiding around a turn. I think thats what the OB is getting at. When I hit a blind turn or steep embankment I do the usaul callout to make my presense known,but pedestrians don’t do this which makes the situation dangerous. I’ve helped out a lot with my local trails and it seems the more work the cyclists do the more walkers/hikers we attract. Also, fucking ATV’s, we all hate ATV’s. The point is we don’t mind sharing but be aware of your surroundings. If you’re on a known biking trail where cyclists travel in excess of 25-35kmh please watch and be aware of blind spots. Also, a bike can’t stop mid-air which is why we make our own tracks and obstacles.
Yep, it is a sad state of affairs when these misfits are out cruising. Imagine walking down SGR and some stranger comes along and spits in your mouth. Call the police and then get your ass to the hospital. Not these folk, they give a bj to a random and claim to be clean and disease free. Mind-boggling indeed.

I think the majority of comments on here completely miss the point of the article. I dont think anyone on 2 wheels in those woods is worried about human to human contact.
