To a certain Post Office in a downtown office building, seriously? Closed because staff can’t take scheduled breaks? Boo hoo… did someone in management improperly schedule things for y’all? Today you are closed for a sewage problem… how appropriate. One other day you were closed because of the aforementioned scheduling issue and on at least 2 other days you were partially close. Do your jobs and serve the public f*cktards! —Sick of whiny postal “workers”

  1. 1) If there was a sewer backup in your workspace, you would not be working. It is a health hazard among many other things
    2) scheduled breaks are everyone’s right by labour laws. It is true that many people will bite the bullet if need be, however this is not mandatory and you have the right as a worker to refuse to work if you are not allocated breaks. The manager cannot help it if they are short staffed and neither can the employees.

you sound like an arrogant fuckwad.

  2. I’m over there all the time and I have no problems with the post office being closed… :S

It would be frustrating for that to repeatedly happen, but you can’t expect them to work in flooding.

As for closing for breaks, it’s probably like longwalker stated above – they’re entitled to their breaks and making sure they’re getting them.

  3. longwalker…I feel NO sympathy for the postworkers….NONE….what-so-ever….closing a service to the public because some lazy bastard can’t take a break is no excuse….they’d never make it in the private sector….sick of years of their whining, their strikes, and aholes like you that defend these useless leeches

  4. that’s fucked… government run, they should be adequately staffed.
flooding, ok, you can’t plan for that shit…. (literally)

    but breaks? c’mon.

  5. Re: “Post office closed again”
that was what a sign said….closed for a whole day cuz the little wussies couldn’t take their breaks….it was a staffing issue according to the sign….twice before Xmas as well….something tells me that it’s a labour dispute….probably the poor buggers aren’t making enuff dough….pooor babies

  6. The funny thing is…most postal outlets are subcontracted to the ‘private sector’, ie in grocery stores or drug stores. Was this the case? If so op beatch has some crow to munch on.

  7. I have to say one time I went to the Post office in the drup store on SG and it was closed…but only once. Usually they are there and helpful.

  8. Is this a case of only one person available to be on shift at a time so they closed because the one worker couldn’t take breaks or a lunch?

    If so, that’s Majorly fucked….
how busy is it in a POST OFFICE throughout the DAYTIME that you’ll lose your shit if you can’t get a breather here and there?

  9. Using the Post Office as opposed to postal outlets is more economical as the postal outlet franchises charge more for the same services provided by Canada Post. True dat!

  10. OP; you are truly a dumbass. simply because someone is unionized doesn’t mean that they are a lazy fuck. Also, even in the private sector you are entitled to breaks, you’re just too dumb to realize it/capitalize on it. One more thing: if they are so useless, why does their abscence make you so angry? OH RIGHT, because they aren’t useless after all, go figure. Staffing issues happen everywhere, especially with the attitude you have. Clearly they don’t have enough staff, but you would be the first one to complain if they hired someone else because you consider every unionized employee “useless”. Go blend a bag of dicks and take a swig Mr. Bigot.

  11. Post Office…..now there’s something I haven’t been to in years. OP, use FedEx, or some other courier that stays open.

  12. unionized isn’t a nasty word…..but i guess in a far left leaning rag like the coast,it’s typical fodder…how sad is that

  13. If “Unionized” is a dirty word , the divas at CUPW have only themselves to blame. They have expended much time and singular effort at blackening the concept in the eyes of the taxpayer.

  14. “Bigot: a prejudiced person who is intolerant of any opinions differing from his own”

That seems to fit the bill here.
