It’s above my head as we speak blowing the most disgusting artificial air down into my office, if I close the door I could start packing meat on the side. Terrible headaches, cold cold feet and hands (I have good circulation) and a lump in my throat. It’s been like this for over a year and a half, its next to impossible to adjust. Today I forgot to bring a sweater. I could pop.

Try working in an air-tight office without air-conditioning, where the sweat is dripping down your face and body all fucking day and the only relief is a small fan that whirls around hot air. Add to that a hovering boss who wears really bad cologne. You’d be praying for that air-conditioning, sweetheart.
I know what you mean. Sometimes it is a releif but sometimes it is like I am in an ice box. Its is automatically controlled where I work so when it is out out its freezing inside and when it is cold out it is hot inside. Its hilarious how some people need it on ALL THE TIME. Is that natural? It’s ok to be warm sometimes!!!I think people who need it on all the time are really disconnected from the planet. I love being nice and warm in the summer. I’d rather roll down the window and mess my hair up then close the windows and breathe in that shit.Last week I had to sit in a vehicle for four days where there AC was constantly on because ONE PERSON needed it on all the time.It is such a waste of electricity when opening a window would do the trick just fine, most of the time. I think that when people need to be cold during the summertime is becoming the norm, that there is something wrong with the way we are living. There was a time in our lives that AC did not exist and we got by just fine. I think it should be saved for extremely hot days and for those that may need it for health issues only. Using it day to day as a means of air control is ludacris and a waste of money/energy.
TTFN:Does your workplace have the initals NT?
Nope, I don’t work at NT. The problem are in the air-tight buildings. I hate them. In the older buildings in downtown Halifax, the air quality is stale and fuck knows what you’re breathing in. I’ve always contended that if offices could be equipped with windows you can actually open, it would solve a lot of these problems. But, then again, I suppose people would then be complaining about the noise and pollution. It really is a no-win situation. So I’ll continue to sweat like a stuck pig….FUCK!!!!!
hey well at least it is better then having the heat stuck on blast!
