To the guy that thought it would be funny to yell, “Fuck you, chink!” while speeding by in a car. I got a good look at you and I’ll remember your face. If you were that careless and foolish with me, I’ll bet it wont be long until I, or somebody else you pissed off, will kick the living shit out of you. You’ll soon discover that some abuse in this city isn’t that random.

Why can’t people just chill out? It’s not like a passing comment from complete strangers really did anything to fuck your day yet here you are full of threats. Aren’t you the tough one? oooooo
This is a joke, right Kay? You just said that to get people worked up?You’re not honestly condoning a random act of racism, are you?
Ignore Kay, she clearly hasn’t got a fucking clue. The guy in the car should be dragged out from behind the wheel and given a beating for that sort of bullshit.
Actually being black, i used to get taunted when playing hockey with plenty of racial slurs. I always felt sorry for those that needed them and never replied back to that ignorance. If i did, it was with something like, “i might be a (n-bomb), but your cute lil white girlfriend loved dick” or if i made a huge save, i would have replied with, “gotta hate that a (n-bomb) stopped ya, your parents are going to disown you now”i never saw the need hit someone for ignorance.
I agree with you Homie, it resolves nothing really. It’s pretty stupid that some people are like that, but hey, that’s life. Sometimes you have to let it roll off your shoulders. I’m Muslim, I’m sure most of you have an idea of what I went through after Sept 11 2001. It never slowed me down or affected me. It was just the media and morons that are ignorant and close-minded. Kind of like cattle, believing and doing everything their told.
I do not like racism. It is getting to the point, for me, where I fell badly for the one saying whatever racist thing. Thinking to myself: Poor stupid racist human. How awful it must be to have such a closed mind. Wonder what else they do not understand? Imagine how difficult it must be for that individual having no common sense. That person must have to work/think hard to understand basic concepts. I think you all get the point. I did not want to leave the reason I fell badly unexplained.
What if the guy yelled something about a stupid looking hat you were wearing? Would you have been just as hurt or would you blow off the meaningless opinion of some passing stranger. I don’t condone racism but I think we all need to lighten up a little.
Sorry Kay, but randomly dropping the “n-bomb” or some other equally derogatory term is REALLY different than commenting on someone’s choice of clothing.
Kay, are you actually trying to equate someone’s passing comment about fashion choice (the hat) with a hateful remark about an entire culture???Surely you’re not that fucking retarded?
actually jennie, its the same thing.Clothing related insults are based on a physical property. (n-bomb) is an insult of a physical property as well, that being our skin, more detailed its the color of that skin. Really, neither has any effect unless you let it. There is only a difference if you choose to make it so, doesnt mean there is one. Both are weak, why give strength to something trivial and stupid, more so, why rank one stupid thing to be stupider than another? Its only worse cause yo
raoul, being a black dude, the term (n-bomb) is a direct referance to my color. Not my heritage. How can anyone driving past me have any clue if I am directly from Africa, or if my roots are from the Carribeans, or if i am a 6 generation scotian? They cant. So the reference of the N bomb can only be my flesh. You give the word power and meaning when you attach all that other bullshit to it.
It’s not the same, Homie. A person can change their clothing. They can wear preppy clothes one day, and skater attire the next. If they feel pressure to conform, they can. It’s a personal choice.Last time I checked, you didn’t get to choose your skin colour.Just because you’re black Homie doesn’t make you an authority on what’s racist and what’s not. For all you know I could be Asian, Hispanic, Aboriginal, Indian, etc.
you could be all of them things…however, that doesnt change the fact that the insult (n bomb) is strictly about my color and not my nationality or heritage, as that information isnt able to be deciphered by someone whizzing by in a car. The only way racist comments like told in the OP have any effect, is if the receiver takes offense to it. oh jennie…. you can change your clothing and what not, but when the person yelled out what ever, they only went based on what they saw at that moment. So if you dressed like a hooker, and they yelled out, “you fuckin hooker”, they went based on how you were at that moment. You are right, you can change your clothes, but you would be an idiot to change your style based on the insults of another. I take pride in being black and if someone wants to call me an (n-bomb) strictly because i am black….. so be it. I am black. If someone wants to make fun of me for dressing preppy, so be it, i wear preppy clothes. You are helping out the problem by not looking past it.Sticks and stone may break my bones,…….. but
So if that’s the case Homie, does racism even exist? If so, where and how?
racism exists…. but if you show the racist people that you dont care about the shit they say, then the stuff they say carries no weight. Sorta like lil kids, if the lil fat kid gets upset, the bully sees that and continues. If the fat kid is not fazed by some comment the bully gives, the bully gives up or moves on. Now if the bully gets physical, that is differnt. Sorta like how these people here call me names. Hardly going to stop me from posting. I dont really care what anony or qwerty or any of these cats have to say about me. Matter of fact, i encourage it, it shows lack of maturity, but whatever. I toss the odd name out, but i dont attempt to belittle someone via insults for the most part
