Opposite 1636 Walnut Street there is a sinkhole–the result of a botched job last summer to cover up a water main repair. Two weeks ago CBC “Information Morning” did a story on the 16″ sinkhole that had opened up. To “resolve” the matter, HRM sent out a 2-man crew and one bag of asphalt. After 30 mins. they left. A week later the hole reappeared (only this time it’s only 6″ deep). Will they get ir right this time–or will it take somebody to fall of a bike before they fix it properly?
File No. is 3144727, Great to see HRM’s tax dollars at work!

I’m afraid HRM are too busy trying to figure out how to rope deviant, lawbreaking cats.
There was this strip, not a hole but literally a strip of road missing that spanned the entire width of the road on the road that I live on..a few days ago it was fixed in what seemed to be a matter of minutes. To give the HRM workers the benefit of the doubt, maybe it took an hour. In any case, this landmine is a nightmare negotiating every spring because they fill with this black death stuff that seems to melt under the snow. These are your tax dollars at work…later that day I saw at least 20 workers chilling out, hanging out on the back of their equipment. At least they didn’t leave the machines idling..
