Now don’t get me wrong, I like the Mike Holmes strip, and though I may come off as a prat I just can’t let it go. Something about this weeks “True Story” bugged me and I couldn’t figure out why. No, it wasn’t that the sunset was setting in what appeared to be the east, though it could be said that the three friends were facing towards Blandford/Aspotogan Peninsula where it is possible that the sun was beginning its descent, but in reality I think at that time of year (Sept.2nd, 1998) the sun would have been directly behind them(setting facing the lighthouse), disappearing behind the restaurant there. No, it wasn’t that. Its the timeline. They’re watching the sunset, which would have been at 7:49pm our time. Giving waiting to watch the stupid sun set and then dicking around with a dead pheasant for 10 minutes that puts them on the road to halifax at about 8:30. On the drive home they hear a loud “bang” and don’t know what it was but later find out that Swiss Air Flight 111 had crashed.
Swiss Air Flight 111 crashed at 10:30pm our time.
Its 45 minutes to drive to Peggys even with tourist traffic.
What happened in that missing hour and 15 minutes?
People want to know.

the 1:15 is a really low estimate on the timeline, in reality I think at least two hours had elapsed since they were supposedly at Peggy’s Cove and back in Halifax. It just doesn’t add up. Pabst Blue Ribbon!
The part about the dead pheasant sounds very suspicious too… But really it raises more questions than it answers…
