Here’s a big FUCK YOU to the cyclist who Friday around 7:30AM, almost ran into a car at the corner of Sackville and Queen St.
That white (or silver?) Impala was already in the intersection with their turn signal on and you tried to go around them (on the right). YOU almost hit THEM and then proceeded to curse and swear at them and follow them down the street (right beside their driver’s door actually).
I saw the whole thing FUCK FACE, it would have served you right if you had bounced off of their car – but to follow them??? I hope that driver opened their door while you were traveling beside them and you ended up planting your face in the asphalt. —JamesK

I’ve seen similar incidents around HRM. Cyclists seem to ignore when a vehicle has their indicator on (whether left or right) and then try to pass the car and get hit. Is it that hard for a bike to put on their brakes and wait for the car to proceed through the intersection? Or is their helmet too tight and cutting off blood to their brain?
Yeah I’ve seen this too…whenever I’m making a right turn or something and I passed a biker, I have to wait for them to go past me because they do not stop
Connaught/Quinpool inbound in the morning can be bad for this. I usually weave myself into the queue and go when its my turn. I try to ignore the odd person in a car who waves me by. Either that or I’ll pull around to the left of the right turning vehicles.
As for motorists, the worst (and most dangerous) situation are head-on collision situations where a left-turning car can’t fathom that an approaching cyclist (who is going straight through)could possibly be doing 50km/h.
