so i have this friend who had a child at the age of 19 (she was no naive teenager, she was an ADULT), who went on welfare. thats cool, no problem, everybody needs a hand from time to time, but now shes 25, and her kid hasnt lived with her in 3 years!!!!!!! because he lives with her mom, no one bothered to tell her caseworker, who hasnt visited in 4 years. she sits in her 3 bedroom house alone all day, smoking a pack a day, watches her digital cable and downloads videos with her high-speed internet. she always has more money to go out than i do. she still collects her regular welfare, plus she applies for ANY additional services she’s available to as a “mother”. she gets CTB for the child and KEEPS it, even though she NEVER sees him. she is now getting welfare to pay her way through university because she needs an excuse to not work. her words, not mine. she said that if she goes to university part time for a year or two, they’ll let her stay on welfare and not “bug” her for another couple of years. i had to attend community college because i couldnt AFFORD to go to university, but now my taxes are going to pay to send this trashy bitch through school?! it’s bad enough that we pay for her smokes, her weed, her nights out, her computer, her cell phone, her groceries, her tv, now we have to give her a better education than our own?! i wish i had popped out babies unplanned so my life could be paid in full. it must be nice. good message to send to young girls these days: find a sketchy man to get you pregnant by 16 and it’s smooth sailing from there. get off your fat lazy asses and get a job like the rest of us. i dont think ANYONE has sympathy anymore, you’ve all ruined it for struggling people who are temporarily out of work

If she’s lying about supporting her daughter she could be criminally charged, as well as forced to pay back what she’s been overpaid.
A friend of mine had a stroke and had to go on welfare because he had been self-employed. He received $500 a month, hardly enough for rent a filthy room in a flea-bag boarding house, let alone be able to eat. Yet this greedy cow can sit on her fat twat and abuse the system without ANY fear of consequence. What a sad statement about this province.
Please report this sorry excuse for a human being, do so anonymously if need be. Leave a message at Community Services after hours from a pay phone. There are too many people out there who truly need support and this cunt is not one of them.
Yes! For the love of god REPORT HER! She is why it’s so hard for those who need help to receive it! All it takes is one phone call to Community Services. Step up and report this!
ive heard a few mutual friends talk about how they’ve reported her, and ive even mentioned it to a family member who works for community services, so at LEAST 3 or 4 complaints have been made, but no one cares.my cousin (who works for CS) says that as soon as they kick these people off welfare, they go crying to the press about how they’re treated unfairly and discriminated against, but CS cant comment on cases to the press, so they get trashed and cant even defend their actions. its such a stupid fucked up system where you have whole communities on welfare, and they swap tips on how to get more free money. THERE SHOULD BE A 5 YEAR LIMIT ON WELFARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with TTFN and Scott. This person should be reported for abuse. They make it hard for a person who really needs it to get it! I feel sorry for those who can’t work because of disability or illness but fuck if you are able bodied then get your fucking ass out the door and work like the rest of us!!
