To the guy who insisted on standing next to his seated girlfriend on the bus. There were seats available futher away from her, but you decided to stand and block the way of people trying to get on the bus, who probably would have been happy to take a seat had they been able to reach one. It was a number 1 on a friday night downtown. Try taking a seat next time, I’m sure your girlfriend will be safe without you standing right next to her for the ride.

Holy FACK, I’m with you on this one. People who refuse to sit in an empty seat because (gasp!) you may actually have to touch another living being. You are nothing but a speed bump hindering other people in their effort to leave the bus, or get to the empty seat that you refuse to sit in. Sit. THE fuck. DOWN.
How about saying excuse me and going past the person? I know it doesn’t completely fix the “issue” but seriously, get some backbone and go take your seat it’s not that hard. If the person won’t move, rudely push past them, you have given them the chance to move politely.
Chivalry is not dead. If I so choose to stand next to my wife, that is my choice, I could sit down elsewhere, but why? I’m sorry to upset your perfect little world by standing on your bus, but its a choice I make. perhaps next time you can tell me, so I can smile, nod and continue standing, because it is my freedom to do so. I’m sorry you have no one who would rather stand to be next to you then be comfortable in a seat. However if the fella in this case did not move for people, he is ignorant, and should have let others pass him.
