If you bring a fucking huge stroller on the bus, why the fuck are you surprised when it doesn’t fit in the aisle of the bus? Don’t spend 15 minutes ranting at all the passengers about how terrible Metro Transit is because they didn’t get a bus big enough to fit your leviathan of a stroller. Get a fucking smaller stroller. —Tired and Doesn’t Want to Hear Your Ranting at 7pm

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
The new #1 busses (ALF busses) have extra wide aisle, so how freaking BIG was that stroller? Good grief.
Well it has to be big enough to fit the battery operated microwave to warm up bottles or food.
And the mega basket on the bottom to carry the full grocery order number of bags.
Man I got on the 20 the other day, and 3 strollers in a row got on… so the bus driver told the 3rd lady that she couldn’t have her stroller opened. No problem, she folded it up and put the kid on her lap. Then the kid started screaming. He screamed and thrashed and screamed some more. I felt bad for the mom, because the kid was quiet as can be in the stroller, and she was actually trying her best to not get in everyone’s way.
The SUV-stroller dude and his wife got themselves knocked up and popped out the baby. It wasn’t Metro Transit’s fault. Screw the strollers. He can go out and buy a minivan.
I haven’t been on a bus lately, but I have seen some of the strollers out & about. Man some of those things have wheels that would rival any mountain bike !
They’re growing into winnebago’s !
What are they for ?
crossing the Sierra Madre’s ??
How many people who post here have taken a baby 4x4ing in their stroller ?
Perhaps Metro Transit should take a lesson from the airlines when it comes to oversized carry on luggage/package with these humongous strollers !
If it won’t fit through the metal posts at the bus stop, its not allowed on the bus (simple ‘eh, & probably why no one there will ever think of it !
I dont think strollers should be on any bus.
Strollers should be folded on buses – period. Don’t they make umbrella strollers anymore? And don’t tell me you need a place for diapers, bottles, etc. Ditch the purse, use a backpack and you’ll have two free arms to hold your baby with. I speak from experience when I say this is possible. I took the bus with three children under 5. The problem with SUV strollers is that 4 and 5 year olds, presumably ambulatory at that point, are being plunked in them for the convenience of the parents.
It pisses me off when the bus is packed and someone with a stroller comes on and THREE seats need to be vacated so the parent and NON-PAYING baby can sit comfortably. Fuck that.
I love riding the #20 when a welfare ghetto mom gets on with her four kids, and a stroller. She’ll jam it into your knees and bitch and glare at YOU when you have the nerve to try to squeeze past her.
Big ass strollers shouldn’t be on the buses! I took the bus with kids, and used an umbrella stroller, and once the kid was big enough to walk… they did.
