The other day I was walking near the Windsor/Chebucto/Cunard intersection, when I saw a man in a wheelchair crossing the road in the crosswalk…
When pedestrians have the walk light when crossing from one side of Windsor to the other, cars are still allowed to turn left off Chebucto onto Windsor, and other cars are allowed to go from Cunard onto Windsor. So the man was crossing when he had the right to and then this blue Pontiac Sunfire comes speeding toward him from Cunard.
The old hag has to slam on her brakes to avoid killing this man and then she has the nerve to YELL at him. She makes some sort of comment on how he should learn how to properly cross the road and not to cross when it’s not his turn. Then she looks to the crosswalk lights, sees the “walk” light and then gets this priceless look of “oh shit, I’m wrong and look like an ass” on her face.
YES lady, I saw you and I want to make you feel even more stupid. I’m sorry you’re late for your night shift at McDonald’s or something, but that doesn’t give you the right to speed around the streets, putting peoples’ lives in danger. Your car is crap and probably reeks of smoke. Don’t take your poor life choice out on others, BITCH. —Meee

Hmmm… so there were TWO bitches at the intersection that day.
I went to QEH. THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS while you’re crossing Cogswell and people are turning right off Robie. They don’t think of it as turning right for some reason since they’re skipping Bell to the immediate right. Always had middle-aged women screaming at us, and we’d just point at the “walk” sign.
