Throwing your bag of dog poo in our green bin just after it has been emptied in the middle of a heat wave – whoever you are, that was a jerk move.

Thanks for making my week smelly as well as sweaty, and for reminding me that there are awful people in Halifax after all. —Homesick cowgirl

  1. if’n you knew it was in a geen bin, then you have an idea who put it there, call the waste people, they would have given said offender a ticket for it. happened to a guy in collingswood area a couple of years back.

  2. How’d you get sweaty from a little bag of dog poo? The offender doesn’t control the weather. I believe it was the sun that was making you sweaty…

  3. It could have been me. I use recyclable dog bags that say on them they can be put in green bins. I take it your in the north end? If you are you might have noticed the ridiculous lack of city maintained garbage cans along main streets like North/Agricola/Gottingen.

So if I’m out for a long walk with my pooch and she does her business I am sure as hell going to drop it in the first green bin I come across.

And who actually spends any amount of time smelling their green bin anyways? Are you some sort of weirdo who loves to sniff rotting veggies?

  4. If this is the worst thing that happened to you for the whole week, consider yourself pretty lucky.

  5. It’s a green bin, not a clean linen storage bin. Cover said dog poop with rotting meat and other compostables you don’t plan on consuming.
