Spam and advertising companies start these e-mails.. Once 100 emails get back to them each with 1000 addresses, they have even more people to spam/advertise too.
I feel your pain. Whenever I get one of those annoying emails I respond to the original sender and all of the addys on the recipient list with this link: http://bccplease.com. Over time I’ve received fewer and fewer annoying chain mails as people have either been educated as to the error of their ways, or if they seem incapable of learning I just add them to my delete list and be done with it.
Too true. I tend to just delete “fwd” messages from others now without opening them. May miss the odd fantastic item but easier on the nerves than seeing miles of other addresses.
