is it really free delivery if they nick you 1.50 in fees on the portable debit machine?

  1. Actually, he’s paying for the mobile debit which is kind of an expensive technology. Next time use cash. It’s the same fee if you use a non bank branch atm. Don’t like it, use CASH, no extra fees and you could not tip them in style…

  2. Mobile debit is quite expensive. The transaction can sometimes cost the business owner MORE than $1.50…so feel lucky you’re only paying that. When the business owner tries to rip you off, though…that’s a different story. A certain pizza shithole on North Street quoted me a price including the debit charge over the phone when I ordered from them one time…and then the jackass tries to slap the $1.50 on the total AGAIN at the door, saying he didn’t quote me the price with delivery. I told him I wasn’t paying the extra $1.50, that I was quoted the price over the phone. He tries to tell me that it was him on the phone, and the fee was not included, but he wouldn’t charge me “this time”. Well there was, and never will be, a NEXT time.
