This goes out to every person who cuts in a line. Or stands in a convenience store buying lotto tickets for 20 fucking minutes. or doesnt thank a person who holds a door open for you, or makes NO effort to make passing someone easier on a crowded sidewalk or in a mall…

Yep…an unfortunate consequence of babyboomers raising their children to believe they are special and unique…now we are stuck with the ME Generation…gotta love all that self-centered inconsiderate attitude out there! There is little empathy or consideration left in the world.
What is with all you whiney Gen-Xer’s blaming all your trouble on the Boomer’s offspring? Some “ME”-ers, as you say, are considerate, hard-working and generally good people. Some pay taxes. Hell, we are even just as annoyed as you are when someone is rude or ignorant. But we are getting pretty sick of shouldering all of the blame for every pet peeve that someone of an older generation might have.What’s worse, you have no idea, Christopher, what age group the bitcher belongs to. Could be a “ME”-er… …so quit it with the age-ism!
Oh give it up jennifer…if they are considerate then they really aren’t ME’ers so quit your whining and realize that most of you are not considerate and that it’s a fact of the times. I’ll keep saying what I say because from my experience…it’s the truth, sorry if you are so offended by the truth…are you perhaps a devout ME’er?

All of the things mentioned in this bitch, in my experience, belong to the older generation, you’re way off Chris! When was the last time you saw a young person buying a months worth of scratch tickets?
Well someone had to do something about that mess in the 50’s what a creepy fake time shudders! Anyhow my friends were big hippies in the summer and their kids turned into intellegent people. and by intellegent I don’t mean living in the suburbs with green lawn neuorosis. Today kids are spoiled and are being taught consumerism and money are the most important things in life.
Amen sick ‘o,Although it doesn’t solve the issue when I hold the door for someone w/out a thank you in return my response is generally a very cordial “oh you’re welcome, have a great day.”
If I am going through two sets of doors and I hold the first one for someone and they don’t utter a word, I just let the second one slam on them.
If you’re not a boomer and you’re not a “ME”-er then I assumed you fall somewhere inbetween (Gen-X). So sorry if I’m wrong.Not so sorry if you’ve only had bad experiences with younger generations, it’s clearly due to your stanky-ass attitude. And as for the rest of the boomer-offspring, I’d say they’re doin’ ok. I’ve never had any specific trouble with them any more than I have had with any other age group.I’m just fucking sick and tired of being pigeoned-holed as a trouble-maker when my peers and I are just tryin’ to get by.
I hold doors for people often and I don’t expect a thank you or some kind of person gratification. Its something you just do. I admit the lotto ticket buyers who stand there forever are irritating as hell. And I understand about people standing in the middle of hall ways and busy mall I go to High School where its learned. I personally just push through them. I had a friend who knocked two ditzy preps standing in the middle right over hahaha
