These info poles near Blowers and Grafton (read: Pizza Corner) have lost their oval cap. And you know what fits perfectly into a pole with no cap? Paper plates. More specifically, Paper pizza plates. We know. We looked.

Remarks: These poles, along with a few other aesthetic flourishes around Metro, were installed in anticipation of the G-7 by the city’s Capital District. But now that the likes of Bill Clinton, Jean Chretien and Helmut Kohl have come and gone, the poles have fallen into disrepair…and they’re definitely collecting a healthy crop of garbage. Yo, Cap District: just because Boris Yeltsin isn’t coming to town, that doesn’t mean we should have to put up with non-informative trash poles!
