Not all 9-5 ers are snobbish so feel free not to lump all of us in with the group that are. Respect is a 2 way street so maybe try relaxing on blanket statements. Thanks for everything you do Lily.
Excellent point Lily. Not all 9-5ers are snobs, but they sure carry a disproportionate amount weight at city hall. The noise by-law comes to mind. While it accommodates people who need to get to bed early, it ignores people who work all night. Both my husband and I work night jobs and sleep during the day (from 6am to whatever), but the noises start early. From construction crews working, to traffic, to superintendents running vacuum cleaners and people just being plain noisy while preparing for and getting out to their 9- 5 jobs. Most don’t stop to think of the people they may be disturbing from 6am to 9am. We respect that while we’re working we must keep noise levels down. I wish more of them would reciprocate.
*3 cheers*Thank You for this post, and although not all 9-5ers have this attitude, alot do, and I myself have heard it all before too..and I don;t even work overnight shifts..I only work till 1am and I still get alot of flak.I especially love it when someone makes a stupid comment like “WOW Your sleep schedual MUST be all screwed up if you work those hours”…Well,No,actually,i sleep as well as anyone else,just at different hours…do YOU go to bed at 5:30 pm when you get off at 5:00 pm??..i though not…
