Bus service to spryfield sucks, and I’ll tell you why. Demographically, Spryfield is at the lower end of the socioeconomic spectrum. In plain English, that means that the majority of residents in that area can’t afford cars. They are dependent on public transit. So the city doesn’t have to improve the service out there. I live in Clayton Park, an area with a similar population density, a similar distance from the downtown core. The bus service out here is excellent. At rush hour, any one of 10 buses will get me within a few blocks of home. And the reason for that is because people in this neighborhood are more affluent. Most of us have cars. We have a CHOICE. So the city knows it damn well better make public transit convenient for us. Elitism at it’s finest, hmm?
