4 shame. He’s not wrong except for the figures. I work in a small company and our overhead sits at 47%. From there it’s all uphill. This poster is right on! Stop giving to cashier charities and start supporting charities directly that have a PROVEN record of helping the needy like the Salvation Army, Doctors Without Borders, and such. 90% of the big charitable organizations have overhead so high that only about 1/2 of 1% on the dollar reach those in need and that’s a generous calculation. They’re supporting and feeding children who are orphaned by AIDS with little to no resources. Join a Cdn. chapter of the Grannies and really help people. Stop feeding these multi-national super organizations that are laughing all the way to the bank.
I agree. Don’t just pat yourself on the back for giving to a greater cause. Do some research. Half of those AIDS charities are over in Africa spewing religious rhetoric that hasn’t worked in a thousand years. I don’t want my money going to some missionary trying to convince these poor people contraception is wrong. Kudos for them being there, but if they are going to make the trip, make it worth while.
I find this to be one of the more interesting posters only because this is something I have done without thought. just trying to give something back…next time I will donate to a better causealthough I always try to with Salvation Army as often as possible- I know what they are about.

Do you have any idea how much dog shit is being left behind? (It is so bad that the water is unsafe to swim in, I’ve seen the coliform bacteria test results) Not to mention it sucks to step in it. Its irresponsible dog owners who are their own worst enemy when it comes to getting off-leash dog areas. Thank god LLPP will never get that status, no thanks to them.Choke on that bone.
