Sidewalk hogs
I have never had a problem with people standing on the sideway smoking but when they look at you as you are walking by and don’t move, that upsets me. Have you ever tried walking down Ochteloney in the morning and there are at least three or four people

You are being very kind with your choice of words, but I agree. It’s called a sidewalk for walkers, not a sidesmoke for smokers. I am sure there has got to be another spot to stand within 50 feet of the entrance where they can be less annoying.
I am shamefully a smoker and try my hardest to stay out of sight and o/p’s air. The solution is simple…say “excuse me please” and wait until they move to proceed. If they don’t, let someone know. I believe there are laws about smoking near public doorways.
I am one of those MBC students who smoke. I’m stunned at your comment. I can’t think of a time when we haven’t moved out of the way for someone walking on the sidewalk. We someone coming and shout, “Pedestrian — clear a path.” We fully understand your complaint, and think the school should provide a discreet smoking area where the smokers can puff away, and not throw their butts on the street. Bitch away because we’re with you on this one!!!! We’d cross the street to smoke but we’re afraid of getting hit by the vehicles that don’t want to stop for pedestrians!!!!
Here’s a choice: stop fucking smoking.
The school should provide a smoking area?? Give me a fucking break. The school doesn’t have to provide you anything – this is a problem YOU’RE causing, not the school. Just another example of the egotistical thinking of you nicotine zombies.
I especially love it near the hospitals where the patients puff away out on the sidewalk. Why isn’t anyone taking away their health cards?
