Well, they have to get SOMETHING out of you, they already know that if they charge $4.75 for a beer, and $5.50 for a water downed mix drink (which is illegal by the way) that most rational people would not go for that, even drunk people would be hesitant to spend that much cabbage for that crap. Also, if the place is dead you would just go in and leave, however, if you already paid you would stay for just a while because you need to get your money’s worth, instead of going to another club and paying another fee to go into another potentially empty club.That’s just good business.
the worst part is the fact that the cop don’t do shit for you….infact, cops do not fight crime anymore…cops spend ample time busting the common working stiff for speeding or an expired saftey sticker but can’t won’t do shit to prevent real crime!!!!

And having people agree with me is even better…one thing that I’ve noticed, aside from the ridiculous amount of theft in this city…is that people walk by these people…who are clearly behaving suspiciously…and they do NOT call the police…if I see people doing anything suspicious…like scaling an apartment building…or walking around cars with crow bars or screw drivers..I call the police…I’d rather have them show up and catch them then do nothing when the person whose car/apartment has been vandalised calls them in the morning…Its hilarious that you call the police…they act pissed off because you’re obviously wasting their time and give you an incident number, then call you back three days later and tell you they have no leads! Of course you have no leads…you didn’t even come and look at my car…does it not occur to them that maybe these petty theives don’t use gloves?? What happened to fingerprints? I dunno, maybe I’m the one who’s out of date…they definitely need harsher penalties for this shit though…apparently the week before this happened to me…21 cars got broken into on Parkland…21!!!!!! That is just plain ridiculous…You’re telling me that 21 cars got broken into on one street and not one person saw something? Theres not one lead to be found?? Give me a break! Halifax is not that big of a city…It just makes me so damn angry to see my hard earned money go into someone else’s pocket…its bad enough the government gets so much of it! What burns my ass even more is that…while you’re stealing my stereo and breaking the lock on my car door…the government is using the the money that I paid to them in income tax and putting it into your pocket in welfare or EI…GO GET A JOB!!
