First of all, you sound like “sour fucking grapes!’ Oh, you are gonna call the liquor board because your friends got drinks and you didn’t? Grow the fuck up and stop being so goddamn childish!Secondly, what the fuck were you doing drinking on Good Friday anyhow? Have you no respect for anything sacred? What else do you do????… snort a couple of lines on Remembrance Day? Fuck I hate juveniles!
Just something I’d like to point out: The Shoeshop is a great place to meet your friend for beer and nachos: but the service is poop.
I agree with Fed Up With Rudeness. When working in customer service, you do not treat people in that tone. You have to assume people don’t know everything you do, even if it requires repeating the exact same statements over and over throughout your shift “sorry, you have to buy food with that because of the holiday”…how difficult is that?? Fed Up obviously chose to go to a bar to have some drinks, unaware of this law, as I was. It is not being childish to expect to drink at a bar, it is totally logical, otherwise you’d just go to a restaurant or stay home. And we are not all celebrating Christians out there. I grew up doing the religious Easter thing my whole life, but no longer do, so am gladly going to go out drinking or whatever else on any holiday that allows it. I personally spent the weekend in Boston partying at a Red Sox game and that city was a blast. You almost forgot it was Easter with the thousands of happy people out having fun and DRINKING ALL DAY.
Hey You Suck!What about the fact that we “sacred” Christians drink our faces off on days that represent major Jewish, Islamic, Buddhist et al. religious observations? Do you even know when these days are observed? You just sound like another self-righteous bigot with no understanding that the world is slightly bigger and more diverse than your narrow perceptions will allow. Wake up and smell the 21st century and for the love of all that is sacred, try to be a bit more tolerant.PS: Shoe Shop = good food, good fun, good digs, consistently shitty service.
Ever thought of not tipping the rude staff? One night last year my entire table gave one poor work horse of a bus boy the tip from the table…where was the waiter? Oh yeah..ignoring us like usual while trying to look too cool to actually be doing the job he gets paid to do. The Shoe Shop is the one place in Halifax where you are always sure to get bad service, celeb wannabes and over priced beer to boot. Bless those nachos and the summer patio ‘cus if they didn’t have ’em would anyone still go?
