NSCAD students do work?
first off, the old gaurd was a sexist racist homophobe! second, you could have kindly asked them to be quiet yourself, but instead you’ve decided to jepordize thier income due to your passive aggressive nature.
To “Missing the Old Guard:” Making this complait is possibly the most immature, irresponisble, PETTY! way of handling, what could have been a minor issue I have heard in a long time. We were all just appalled that someone would have written this–considering how nice and reasonable the guards are. They have helped me out on so many occassions. You could be getting them fired! Think about their job versus the alternatives that you have. GROW UP!
Its true, a couple of the new guards have some problems, but that’s no reason to complain about all of them in such a public forum. Quite a few of the new guards are sweet guys just trying to do their job (a really boring and sometimes stressful job) which has been made more stressful and possibly put at risk by this inconsiderate and stupid complaint. You could have just asked them to be a bit quieter instead of anonymously (cowardly) complaining about it in the Coast.Maybe this column should be called “love the way we’re a bitch”.
Your comments made regarding the security guards were rude and objectionable to say the least. It saddened me to read what I can only describe as slanderous words toward people that act in a position of service. Remember that we work in a position of service, like me at my part time job and you at your desk. It saddens me most that this is something I have to impress upon you when it is something that you should already know. Next time, think of the repercussions of your actions. You could have averted all this by simply walking up to their desk if you took issue with anything you overheard. That’s it…end of conversation.
