Final Fantasy won the inaugural Polaris Prize on Monday.
I was honoured to be part of the initial selection process, which was over 100 journalists across the country each pitching their top 5 albums, with the top 10 vote getters comprising the nominee list. (My number one pick was Sarah Harmer‘s I’m A Mountain, which was ultimately, deservedly nominated.)
Owen Pallett is now $20,000 richer. Congrats sir.
