First things first — I hope you’re safe. It’s been a heavy week for Haligonians, with fires nearby reminding us how quickly life in the city can feel unsettled. Sometimes the best way to clear your head is to step outside, breathe in that salty harbour air, and let Halifax’s energy carry you for a while.

We’re in the sweet spot of summer — still warm enough for patios, park days and waterfront walks, but the evenings are starting to hint at fall. August always moves fast, and before we know it, the leaves will turn, the air will sharpen, and the city will trade its sandals for sweaters. But right now, there’s still time to chase the sun, pack in a few more late nights, and make the most of every golden hour left.
