Halifax’s “tiny taste of Paris”, Le French Fix Pâtisserie (5233 Prince Street, 497-5308), is turning the big one next week and everyone is invited to celebrate its first year in business.

The bakery-cafe hybrid started off with French pastry chef Geoffroy Chevallier in a booth at the Farmer’s Market and has since grown to be one of downtown’s hot spots. Chevallier’s typical French pastries such as tarts, croissants and myriad of macarons, are paired with java from the award-winning Pig Iron roasters. As for the bakery’s second year, Chevallier hopes to offer in-shop cooking classes starting as early as this coming October. Get your French fix TODAY with celebratory free cake and specials on its fantastic espresso based coffee.
