Medieval times | Shoptalk | Halifax, Nova Scotia | THE COAST

Open since late 2008, Alberto Lorenzo Décor (Dartmouth Crossing, 29 LogieAlmond Close, 481-9030) is owned by Pascal Osti, who moved to Halifax after having run an internet café in Victoria, BC. “I wanted to try something new,” he says, and it’s hard to imagine a business idea more different from digital communication in the information age. Alberto Lorenzo’s focus is on medieval furniture, swords, armour, posters, gadgets and gifts, including seals and stamps, wall hangings, tables, candleholders and ceramics, sourced---as Osti says---from “all over the place. We’re working on getting more artists from Nova Scotia.” If you are an artisan that works in renaissance styles, you might want to get in touch. And if you like board games, you might want to drop by on Tuesday nights for a weekly game night. Give the store a call for more information.
