The above photo comes from Len Goucher’s website. Goucher, a former MLA who was defeated last election by a 18-year-old kid, is part of the old Progressive Conservative cabal in Bedford, which seems to muck up every endeavour it touches, including the Children’s Safety Village, the bubble arena and Goucher’s own gadget-heavy expense account. Recall that:
Over a three-year period former Progressive Conservative MLA and cabinet minister Len Goucher filed expense claims for five digital cameras, 11 computers, 12 printers and four video recorders. He even expensed an Xbox 360 Dance Dance Revolution Universe game.
After taxes, Goucher’s overall spending over three years, was $43,982.27.
Which leads to the question: Did Goucher use that taxpayer-provided computer equipment to smudge out the faces of his non-PC political rivals? That’s Tim Outhit, over on the right in the photo.

You’re correct, halifamous: Kelly Regan defeated Goucher. Who am I thinking of, the youngster that unseated a cabinet minister? I remember standing in the beer line next to him at the NDP victory party, thinking “since when can 14-year-olds drink?”
Mat Whynott? He’s the only young NDP MLA I can think of.
Matt Whynot beat Barry Barnett in Sackville. I believe he was 24 at the time of the election, but I might be off a year.

This is some of the best coverage Len’s gotten in years. There isn’t a media outlet in the city that doesn’t have this story. Too bad it doesn’t do anything for his reputation at all.
When I first heard that an elected official wanted the picture to be all about the volunteers, I was like..finally…it is about community-no more pimping poli-platforms ..then I realized who was involved…then I realized all but Peter Kelly’s face was smudged…then I realized who did it again..then realized the comment about wanting only the volunteers to have their day was a lie to save face and was one of the dirties things to do to save face…..shame on Len(se)…using the hard work of volunteers to dig out of his hole….and the comments he used to justify why Kelly was still there…well there just is not enough popcorn for everyone…this is good ole fashioned immaturity , spitefulness, playing favours, and pimping volunteers on their time…for shame
