On April 8 Heroine (5775 Charles Street, 420-0328), owned and operated by Jody Manley, reopens for a season of trunk shows and showrooms featuring small, independent Canadian designers. The first show for 2010 will be the spring collection of Montreal’s Ca Va De Soi. And into the spring season, you can expect more shows running from Thursday through Saturday, and local designer Laura Chenoweth will take over the space on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to show her own stuff. “We think we are a good fit and I always wanted to integrate local work into the Heroine repertoire so this is perfect,” says Manley.
