The bookstore for children and young readers, Woozles (1533 Birmingham Street, 423-7626), has plenty to offer adults too, but if you have kids on your gift list it’s definitely worth a visit. They’ve got Snow for Christmas by Nova Scotia writer-illustrator Doretta Groenendyk, about a little boy who wants snow for Christmas.

Also on the shelves is Noel Streatfield’s classic Ballet Shoes and the non-fiction, interactive and illustrated See Inside Houses Long Ago by Jones Lloyd and Barry Ablett.
