To all the “entrepreneurs” on social media selling flameless candles, makeup, adult toys or whatever overpriced junk it is: Nobody wants to buy this shit. If they do, they either pity you or you guilt them into it. If I want to buy a candle, I’ll go to the store and buy it for half the price. I don’t need a “consultant” or a “representative” to order it for me. How the hell do you think you’ll make any money when there are 10 others selling the exact same thing within a square mile? Quit harassing everyone and give this shit up. It’s embarrassing. —No thanks!

  1. Thank God someone said it. All the companies like that are essentially just pyramid schemes anyways.

  2. Someone actually got upset and stopped talking to me, making the statement “I’m not being a good, dependable friend” their last jab due to my refusal to enter their pyramid scheme!

  3. My GF sells shampoo I told her multi-level marketing is just a legal pyramid scheme, she didn’t listen. Oh well we have plenty of what are pretty good products around and my hair has never looked better lol

  4. Definition of pyramid scheme:
A dishonest and usually illegal business in which many people are persuaded to invest their money and the money of later investors is used to pay the people who invested first.
Some direct sellers may receive compensation based on recruitment, most of them allow you to make money on directly selling without recruiting, hence, nothing “pyramid” about them.
That said, you should probably just tell your FB “friends” you’re not interested. If they give you shit, their “business” will go under sooner than later.
    Either way, problem solved.
