I’ve seen it happen every time there is a winter storm. People get stuck at work with no way home because Halifax Transit drivers wont drive on crappy road.

I’m so pissed at this. When all other vehicles are unsafe to drive, transit should not be kicking their passengers out into slippery roads and snowbank-covered sidewalks. Where is their commitment to serving the public? And don’t tell me that it is dangerous for them. That is just a cop out. —Someone’s Grandma

  1. I agree with this. I brought this up in a faculty meeting at work. My supervisors (and the store owner) all agreed that if the staff feel it is unsafe to come in to work, that they could choose to not come in to work that day as long as they called to let them know.

Glad to see my boss take steps for faculty safety tomorrow.

  2. So you believe the buses should be driving even when its clearly far too dangerous to be driving? Guess we know why they took your license away, Grandma.
